SMART AGRIFOOD SUMMIT, which will hold its first edition next June at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de M\u00e1laga (Fymca), is an event aimed at the industry of creating innovation ecosystems in the European agri-food sector. Its objectives include:
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Create a meeting point between innovative ideas and access to funds.<\/li>
  • Learn about the latest technologies in the agri-food value chain presented by fast-growing startups in the new digital economy.<\/li>
  • Promote cooperation between institutions in R&D projects.<\/li>
  • Act as a meeting point for the best European initiatives in the agro-technological field.<\/li>
  • Serve as an industry reference and facilitate communication between professionals in the sector.<\/li>
  • Promote innovative entrepreneurship in the agri-food industry by providing development and growth opportunities to EBTs, startups and spin-offs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    BIOVEGEN is part of the Startup Europe Smart Agrifood Summit Advisory Committee, an advisory body made up of more than 50 national and international entities.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

    The organization of the event selects 300 startups to participate in its 2 intensive days from June 21 to 22, where they will have an international team of advisors, entrepreneurs and successful investors, with unique activities designed to help them. Additionally, you can participate in the 5 awards for the best startups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Award for the best European startup in the agri-food sector<\/li>
    2. Most innovative project award<\/li>
    3. Award for the best practical solution for the agri-food sector<\/li>
    4. Award for the project with the greatest inclusion of a gender perspective<\/li>
