In practice, the application of the taxonomy is complicated both for companies seeking financing and for those entities that grant it, since it requires offering a large amount of detailed information about the projects.

In relation to their application to public financing, all projects financed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan framework must guarantee that their execution cannot cause significant harm to the environment (DNSH Principle) as a requirement to receive a subsidy. This principle will also be applied to the granting of aid from Structural Funds (ERDF Funds), for the next financial period (until 2027).

This requirement is based on the application of the taxonomy defined in the European Green Deal and the European Action Plan to finance Sustainable Development.

During the session, how the DNSH principle is applied in the field of companies and the requirements to be met to be able to access public financing, in which areas it is required, its application and specification in self-declarations and the certification process will be specifically addressed.

Preliminary program

10:00 a.m. Welcome and introduction.

Gonzaga Ruiz de Gauna. Manager, BIOVEGEN.

10:15 a.m. What is the principle of environmental taxonomy?
