INVEGEN Association

INVEGEN – Association for the promotion of Research and Technological Development in Plant Genomics

INVEGEN Association is the promoter and coordinator of BIOVEGEN (Spanish Technology Platform for Plant Biotechnology). 

INVEGEN was born in late 2005 as a private non-profit association. It was born as an initiative from a group of companies and fesearch organizations. Initially it was catalyzed by the international call for R&D projects in Plant Biotechnology PLANT-KBBE, as a public-private partnership similar to those in France (Genoplante) and Germany (GABI). 

INVEGEN is embedded in the Associations Registry of the Spanish Ministry of Interior (group 1, section 1, national number 590537)

Since 2009, INVEGEN coordinates and manages the Spanish Technology Platform for Plant Biotechnology (BIOVEGEN), funded and supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
